Agree 100%. Skimmed through that video, also not our perception of Street Photography. Some crap in that for sure, the nearest is the guy with the horse (1:07). That said it all looks candid at least, but endless photos of people walking into a shaft of light! I don't think we can define Street Photography objectively, only what we like or dislike.

Hello Vasco, we're back to the literacy thing. You have to know your subject if you want to talk about it otherwise you just mislead people in the wrong direction. Nothing wrong about making street portraits. Not really my cup of tea. Do it if you like it, but don't fool people by naming it street photography...

Merci Jeff

I 'm still surprised by this encounter in this small gallery. One of the odds! We were meant to meet each other's in Capetown. And frankly to connect with someone that breathes street like you is just awesome. We're both inspired by old-school street photography and we share the same vision of it.

Gwen was happy that I made it in one piece. So were the kids even if their Nemesis is back regarding the homework!
I think that we will return one day in Capetown with the whole gang. The region is so beautiful and there's a lot of things that I didn't had the time to do. That's also true that I was more focus on downtown for street reasons

You'd better come to my island! We don't have any kind of photography festival and the streets might seem dull compare to where you live, but there's always something to capture sometimes. I will write a blog about what we discussed. If we manage to make out to next year festival, we will certainly meet again. In the meantime, continue to document the streets of Capetown.
Cheers Paul
