En septembre 2016, j’ai passé une dizaine de jours à Liverpool. J’ai profité de mon passage là bas pour assister à un Workshop Street Photography avec Matt Hart, un ambassadeur de la marque Fuji. C’est la première fois que je participais à un tel atelier. Durant la journée, il m’a été attribué la couleur “rouge”. Je devais dans l’après-midi me concentrer sur cette unique couleur pour apprendre à aiguiser mon œil. Le résultat ne fut pas très concluant. J’ai bien photographié du “rouge” mais c’était assez quelconque comme travail.

C’est après mon séjour en Angleterre que j’ai commencé à photographier en couleur. Après 6 mois à shooter exclusivement en N&B, j’avais besoin de la couleur.

C’est sur les réseaux sociaux que je me suis rendu compte que cette couleur était souvent présente dans les photos que je publiais.

Je n’ai pas consciemment fait de série sur le “rouge”, mais très souvent j’ai été attiré par cette couleur qui rend très bien en photo. Je ne pense pas que ce soit lié à mon passage à Liverpool.

Le rouge attire le regard et si on observe attentivement la rue, le rouge est partout.

On croise souvent des gens avec cette couleur. Elle est même très représentée dans la jungle urbaine ( panneaux signalétiques, bornes incendie, voitures…).

Je vais essayer de me concentrer dorénavant sur une autre couleur : le bleu. De prime abord, je pense que ça risque d’être plus compliqué. On verra ce que ça donnera…

REDELICIOUS !

In September 2016, I spent ten days in Liverpool. I took the opportunity to attend a Street Photography Workshop with Matt Hart, an official Fuji X Photographer. This is the first time I have attended such a workshop. During the day, I was assigned the red color. In the afternoon I had to concentrate on this unique color to learn how to sharpen my eye. The result was not very conclusive. I photographed “red”, but it was so so.

After my stay in England, I began to photograph in color. After 6 months shooting exclusively in B & W, I needed color.

It was on social networks that I realized that this color was often present in the photos I was publishing.

The red attracts the eye and if you look carefully at the street, red is everywhere.

We often meet people with this color. This color is even very represented in the urban jungle (signboards, fire hydrants, cars …).
